Dr. Jung Sook Lee-French's Teaching Method
I teach all my students fundamental pianistic techniques on keyboard with focus on fingering, rhythm, counting, ear training, and posture (wrist, arm and shoulder).
I teach across all skill levels in music spanning 17th to 21st century in genres ranging from classical, semi-classical, popular, jazz, country, pop, church, screen, to broadway.
I teach music theory, improvisation, and composition to all my students.
All my students of varying skill levels perform at my annual concert held in June.
Many of my students participate in public concerts, competitions, scholarship concerts, festivals, talent shows, and community and honors concerts.
I teach pedagogy on teaching beginning piano students to my intermediate and advanced adult students.
My intermediate and advanced level students will have their playing recorded on CD or DVD by a professional recording technician. This can be used for college admissions or as evidence of their achievement and talent.
